PMTools is a digital toolbox stuffed with tools (programs) to assist your mail parcel store in day-to-day operations. These tools originate from front line MPC staff sharing over 40 years combined front counter experience and user suggestions. PMTools is designed to work with your PostalMate and POS database giving you access to your valuable data mine and safely correct mistakes made during the sales process.

Catagorized tabs sort the PMTools toolbox into related tools.
  • Life Saver

    • Contains your most often used tools, many times when the customer is standing in front of you. These tools are very fast and accomplish the task in just a couple of clicks.

  • Ship
    • These are all tools relating to shipping.
  • Sales
    • These tools contain reports, exports and adjustments for the selling side of your business.
  • MailBox
    • Tools relating to your PMB's.
  • Printing
    • These are future tools for the Printing side of your business.
  • Links
    • Coordinate your weblinks across your network, also contains popular links used in the industry.
  • Misc
    • Contains tools not categorized, tech support, security, and PMTools setup.
  The multifunction PMTools will launch and are also shortcuts to these programs.
   
Calculates workdays in a month and remaining workdays for DHL, FedEx or UPS to help you meet minimal carrier imposed shipping levels.
Protect your Data! Quickly see if your backup was done last night. Green light indicates current, Yellow 1 day prior & Red is 2+ days prior.

How are your UPS stats? Do you need to call your rep for a tier bump or do you need to get busy so you can retain your pricing? See current tier and stats at a glance.

Broadcast Chat builds confidence and credibility for new staff by letting your words come out of their mouths. Communicate non verbally to all networked computers running PMTools. You may disable this tool on any screen viewed by customers.
The PMTools Margin Calculator easily determines profit margins when two amounts are entered.  It also functions as a normal calculator as well.
Tools under the Life Saver Tab
Use Hold Split tool to separate transactions that were mistakenly combined on a POS receipt.
Missed Tracking tool adds or updates tracking numbers into PostalMate database. 
Change endicias Postal date from any network station with a couple of mouse clicks.
Time Zones tool opens a quick tool to view the worlds current time in all zones, includes a handy calendar reference.
  Time Clock tool tracks staff time when they clock in and out. PMTools has a report to calculate hours worked in a specific date range.
Label Shoppe tool is designed to print 80+ common labels, i.e. Fragile, Do Not Bend, Glass, etc. All the lables print on your 4x6 thermal printer.
Commercial Invoice tool produces a complete professional printed pro-forma/commercial invoice for international shipments after you process them manually in PostalMate.
A quick method to get to the USPS Express Mail time commitments page. The stores local zip code will be inserted into the form and be ready for the destination zip code to be entered.
Non-Dom Stamp Finder is a quick readily available link to the Nondenominated Postage  page at USPS.com  Makes finding a value for that stamp quick and easy.
Improve your customer service on Postal shipments.  Endicia SCAN creates a batch upload of all eligilble Delivery Confirmation, Signature Confirmation, Express and International mail pieces.  Tracking then shows as "has been accepted" rather than "has been electronically notified."
Tools under the Ship Tab
ShipRec tool is a robust carrier bill reconciliation. With this tool you can quickly determine if you have been overbilled and billed fot shipments that were voided in PostalMate by comparing the carrier charges and the tier/incentive levels set in PM.
Shipsurance Upload tool automatically uploads your package coverage report.  This replaces your manual fax submission.
Shipsurance Information tool provide up to date information and changes to Shipsurance policies.
Carrier Count tool is a printable report that displays shipment data and charts based on date range and other criteria.
Tools under the Sales Tab
Daily Summary tool produces a grid of your daily sales from POS.  Data is transferable into a spreadsheet to analyze sales and profit margins.  We support both Open Office and Excel.
Customer List Export tool allows you to build a list of customers who have made purchases from your store in a given date range. You can select the customer data and copy-paste into a spreadsheet.
Box List tool produces a printed report of all the shells from POS products in order of size. Place on a clipboard for quick reference.
Fix Negative On Hand tool allows you to quickly reset all negative on-hand values in POS to zero or some other manually entered number.
Price Labels tool prints barcoded price lables for POS products on Avery® 5167 or compatible lables. It also offers the ability to pick a starting point to re-use label sheets.
Email Center tool allows you to send informational and marketing emails to any customer, including mailbox holders, who have an email recorded in PM. Store email templates to be used at a later date.
Customer Sales report tool produces a detailed ad-hoc report to determine your best, worst or even middle of the road customer types. Includes charts and data. Can be exported to Excel or PDF.
Department Sales report tool produces a detailed ad-hoc report to determine your best, worst or even middle of the road departments. Includes charts and data. Can be exported to Excel or PDF.
Products Sales report tool produces a detailed ad-hoc report to determine your best, worst or even middle of the road products. Includes charts and data. Can be exported to Excel or PDF.
Vendor Sales report tool produces a detailed ad-hoc report to determine you best, worst or even middle of the road vendors. Also includes charts and data. Export to Excel, Open Office or PDF.
POS to QuickBooks® tool post journal entries from POS end of day closes directly into QuickBooks® without need of an import / export or QuickBooks® application being opened.
Tools under the Mail Box Tab
MailBox List report tool produces a 2 column printed report to be placed in the mail sort area for a quick reference.

Back of the Box label helps you identify your boxholders.  This label includes a barcode to integrate with eMail Center.  Apply this info source to the back of your rented mailboxes.  Prints on your 4x6 thermal printer.
Export Mailbox tool provides a sorted and filtered grid that can be copied and pasted into a spreadsheet, Word, or any application.
Tools under the Print Tab
This tab is currently under construction. The tools under this tab will provide a complete Print Job Manager from quote to final sale.
Tools under the Links Tab
   The Links Tab is a way to manage shared links. The top part contains links to industry web sites and the bottom grid is managed by the store. You can add favorite links that are accessible by all stations. No more do you have to keep browsers in sync at each station.
Tools under the Misc Tab
Time Clock Manager is related to the Time Clock on the Life Saver Tab. It provides a tool for managers to print reports of clocked time for employees as well as making adjustments.
The RS News Feed tool is a quick method providing a reader for daily RSS news feed from RSCentral.
Each tool action creates a log that can be viewed by management. Review the email that was sent and when or when you or an employee changed a tracking number in the system. Includes a method for purging.
PMTools user suggestions are the beginning of most new tools. Join the crowd by using our suggestion box.  As soon as that idea comes to mind, jump in and submit it.  Your idea might be the next great one.
All the setups needed for PMTools is located under the Setup PMTools button.
Security Setup tool allow the owner / manager to apply a password to the most sensitive tools offered.
When there are times you need a little hand holding or your computer decides to get an attitude, this button will provide you methods to contact us as to the issue. From here we a support technician can also provide remote support.
Another issue solving tool for technical questions is our eTicket system. Easily accessed by the eTicket button.
If you need to know what has changed in the versions leading up to the current one, this tool provides that information.
